Off we go!!!!!!!

This one's short and sweet, folks.

It's time, finally, now -- NOW!!! -- to grab the kids, max out the plastic and head south to the Mecca of all that is commerical and magical. That's right, we're heading to DisneyWorld.

We broke the news to the kids when there were 86 days to go before the trip, and they've been counting down quite religiously since then. Today, here we are at "1 day to go." We leave tomorrow. Plane takes off at 7:30 a.m. and by 11:30 a.m., while most of you folks are still digging through your closets to find your mittens and muffs, we'll be hobnobbing with Mickey and Donald and that cute chick from the promotional DVD they sent us after we plunked down $1,700 in credit card dough.

It's going to be awesome, and when we return, I expect to update this site with tons of photos of kids on rides, kids in the pool, kids eating Disney food, kids getting hugs from Winnie the Pooh, and blah blah blah. So check back in a couple of weeks.

On a grim note: If our plane crashes and we don't make it back, please know that we love you all very very very very very very very much, and sarah can have my iPod -- oh wait, the iPod's coming with us -- sorry sarah. But it would have been the thought that counted, right? Ben, Brett and Bradley can share my hockey stick ... Nathaniel, Benjamin, Anna and Zachary can have Sam's Star Wars toys and Emma's Harry Potter DVDs ... Taylor can have all my hip hop clothing, the baggy pants and medalions they won't let me wear to work anymore. Everything else goes to the Theresa House Homeless Shelter in Mankato. I mean it.
