THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!
Birthdays have always been a big deal around our house. Last year there was the Harry Potter party for emma, complete with replica Hogwarts letters, cauldron treat bags, movie viewings, etc. Sam had a spiderman party, complete with silly string spraying (web slinging) event, spider man theme song and spiderman cake.
But nothing can, or will ever, compare to this year's carnival. And it was 100 percent the work of Amy.
We had one of those big bouncy-jumpy things, and that was a hit. But more importantly, we had carnival games, a ticket booth, snow cones, popcorn, hot dogs, lemonade, cake walk, etc. And instead of presents for the kids, we had people bring new or used toys that we planned to donate to the Theresa House shelter in town. We collected a pile of toys, a sack of home-made blankets and some cash. The people at the shelter were thrilled.
And it was all Amy. Her ideas, her leg work, her planning ... All credit goes to her. And the kids had a blast.
Along with carnival photos, we have some here from our trip to the zoo with emma's class, a few from the last day of school, a few from emma's trip to the science fair, slip 'n' slide action, and a few others. enjoy!
